My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.God directs us in our daily lives on how we need to interact with others.
(James 1:19-20)
He created us, so He knows we have the tendency to speak before we think or listen.
Disagreements and misunderstandings have been created because we want to be heard, but we don't want to listen to others.
This leads to anger, which benefits no one.
Anger does not glorify God nor does it help us live the way God wants us to.
We are a light in dark world.
We are suppose to be the reflection of Jesus Christ.
How does anger fit into that picture?
I challenge you today to adhere to today's scripture: Think before you speak--"Is what I'm about say, necessary, does it edify, is it going to be said with love?"
Listen before you speak--If you speak without listening, you are basically saying, "What I have to say is more important then what you have to say. Or what you have to say is not important."
Apply today's scripture to your life and experience the righteous life that God wants for you.
Your brother in Christ Jesus,
Pastor Dwayne
