Verse of the day June 29, 2010
"The days are coming," declares the Sovereign LORD, "when I will send a famine through the land--not a famine of food or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the LORD.
(Amos 8:11)
Israel had rejected the words of the Lord from Amos and so they would go into exile where there would be no word from the Lord at all.
Here in America the Word is readily available abundantly.
We many different version from which to read from.
We also have electronic versio with commentaries.
Yet we don't seem to have the time to read it.
If we do read it we dont have the time to really dig into instead we let others interpret it for us.
In John 14:26 we are told,"...the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and will cause you to remember everything I said to you.
It make take a famine of Gods Word in order for us to realize the importance of His Word.
Examine yourself and ask yourself do I hunger and thirst for the Word of God?
Ask God to place a burning desire in your heart for His Word.
May the Lord bless you,
Pastor Dwayne
